Come to Salinas on Wednesday November 14 STOP the militarization of our schools. We regret to announce that The Army of NONE speakers, Amiee Allison and David Solnit, will not be able to appear. Instead Robert Zabala, local soldier who said no to the Iraq War will speak at Hartnell College room HCC 116 (near the cafeteria) 156 Homestead Ave, Salinas at 7 pm. At 6:30 the Michael Franit film “I know I’m not alone” will be shown until 7 pm. Sandino Gomez of the Resource Center for Nonviolence will also be present. The event is sponsored by Hartnell Students for Peace (contact Margarita Caracheo at 831 455 5964) and the Salinas Action League (SAL) call MacGregor Eddy at 831 206 5043.
HI, I am a long time resident of santa cruz and i’ve just joined this site mainly to get the word out that professor David Ray Griffin will be coming to Santa Cruz to speak on June 29 at the high street congregational church at 7:30. He’ll be speaking with barbara honneger. i am helping to organize this talk and would appreciate help in getting the word out. this is the mother of all issues: the bush administration’s complicity in the attacks on sept 11.
any, all of you, who are connected to anti war and other relevant political action, please do inform your colleagues. we are just starting to create flyers etc.
