Judith Bloomgardener died on November 11, 2011, at the age of 73. From 1985 to 1989, she directed Project Abraco at the RCNV, a program in solidarity with the landless movement of Brazil. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, February 4, at 3 p.m. at the Quaker Meeting House, 225 Rooney St. Santa Cruz. Friends are encouraged to post remembrances on her memorial blog at
