“La Liga” provides a healthy and community orientated activity for many hundreds of our community members of all races and genders. There are currently 36 adult men teams divided into two divisions, 18 women’s teams, and 20 youth teams divided into three divisions based on age: 14 and under, 12 and under, and 9 and under.
Every weekend you can find players with their friends and families at numerous fields throughout the county including Anna Jean Cummings, Soquel High School (wintertime), Polo Grounds, Highland Park, Harvey West Park and Jade Street Park.
La Liga emphasizes the need for nonviolent conflict resolution and good sportsmanship. In fact, violence of any kind, verbal or physical, from players or spectators, is not allowed in any way and carries stiff penalties within the league. It is our hope that the players and individuals involved with the league will take away an understanding of how to better resolve conflicts while simultaneously building stronger community.
