Gayle McLaughlin is coming to Santa Cruz!
Thursday, September 20 from 6-8PM at the Resource Center for Nonviolence, 612 Ocean St, Santa Cruz.
Gayle McLaughlin will be joined on stage by progressive Santa Cruz City Council candidates Justin Cummings and Drew Glover, and a representative from Yes on M: Santa Cruz for Rent Control.
Gayle is the former Mayor of Richmond, CA who in that role delivered a multi-million dollar blow to Chevron Corporation and won a range of progressive policy victories. She was also an independent and openly socialist candidate for Lieutenant Governor of California in the June primary elections.
She’ll tell us how progressives successfully took power in Richmond, and how we can win statewide power by replicating and building on that model through her latest project, the California Progressive Alliance.
