To commemorate the first anniversary of the Fukushima Daichi nuclear meltdown, the Resource Center for Nonviolence presents the Santa Cruz premiere of Fukushima Never Again, the recently completed documentary produced by the Labor Video Project. Filmmakers Kazmi Torii and Steve Zeltser will screen the film and lead discussion afterwards, including ways that we can get involved in anti-nuclear activities.
Kazmi Torii and Steve Zeltser traveled to Japan to visit the Fukushima area and to tape countless interviews, meetings, and demonstrations across Japan. The interviewees include a wide range of activists, from young people outraged and politicized by the government and energy company\’s disregard to people who have been anti-nuclear and anti-war since the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki first introduced radioactivity to Japan.
