Pat Chamberlin-Calamar, an enthusiastic supporter of the Resource Center for Nonviolence ever since its founding, died June 23, 2019 at age 93. Pat and her husband Don Calamar were leaders of Veterans for Peace in Santa Barbara, and set up crosses for Iraq war victims on the beach. She sang in Santa Barbara’s Raging Grannies and was an avid folk guitar teacher and song leader, in worship, at peace rallies, and with friends and family. Pat and Don drove to many RCNV Annual Dinners. Whenever Pat saw her daughter Liz and son-in-law Peter Klotz-Chamberlin she asked “How is the Resource Center going?” She and Don were lifelong donors, from modest means. Pat’s family included the Resource Center as a way “To honor Pat, go out and do something to make the world a better place or send a tax-deductible gift.” Donate Now
