Light breakfast provided- RSVP if possible, 831-457-8003, or just show up. Dr. Bill Dienst will talk about the history of Palestine and current perspectives. Bill is a physician from Washington who has visited Gaza several times. Scott Kennedy met Bill in November, 2006 in Gaza. He’s very well informed, having served on ambulances with the Palestinian Medical Relief Committees in both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank during a half dozen volunteer stints. Bill was on the first set of boats that sailed to Gaza last summer (2008) from Cyprus, the first boats to openly enter Gaza in 41 years under Israeli Occupation.
