San Francisco Examiner says, “As joyous, thrilling and funny as any film about death could be”
Jack Has a Plan is a documentary about Jack Tuller, a budding San Francisco musician and storyteller who was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor in 1994 and given six months to live. After living with the condition for decades, he decides to utilize California’s medical aid-in-dying law to end his life on his own terms. The film, directed by his friend Bradley Berman, captures Jack’s final years as he makes peace with his decision, reconnects with his estranged father, and prepares for his death, culminating in a permanent going-away party.
The film will be followed by a panel discussion including:
Bradley Berman, Director
Jim Van Buskirk, Final Exit Network (FEN), Regional Coordinator
Stephen Waltcher, MD, Medical Aid in Dying prescribing Physician
Moderator: Dr. Jen Hastings, MD
