Cheiko Shiina is the founder of Fukushima Women Against Nuclear Power. She is touring CA to speak about the dangers of nuclear energy, the aftermath of Fukushima and international solidarity work. Ms. Shiina was an organic farmer in Fukushima province until the double catastrophe of the earthquake/tsunami and nuclear meltdown. A long-time organizer, she has taken this energy and experience into high gear since March 11, 2010. Ms. Shiina was a co-organizer of the Women\’s 10 Months and 10 Days sit-ins in front of the Ministry of Economy and Industry in Tokyo.
