On display now through August, 2013 at RCNV,
Location: 612 Ocean St., Santa Cruz. Hours: M -TH 12-4

Lucien Kubo presents an assemblage and mixed media exhibit on Hiroshima/Nagasaki and Fukushima nuclear power. \”Prayer for Peace\” and \”Hear No Evil, See No Evil\” question the Hiroshima/Nagasaki bombing during WWII. \”Hope for the people of Japan\” and \”Children folding Origami\” is about the current nuclear disaster in Fukushima and hope for healing.
In addition there are other historical narratives concerning current issues. \”The Unusual Suspects\” is about racial profiling. Several pieces, such as \”Topaz Family Tree\” and \”Japanese American Incarceration\” address the plight of Japanese Americans during WWII based on racial discrimination. Other artwork expresses support for the Tibetan struggle for freedom, Burma, Minamata Environmental Poisoning and questions Corporate Worshipping of False Profits.
